West Falmouth Library Reopens with a New Addition and Historical Paint Color
Brown Lindquist Fenuccio & Raber Architects, Inc. was honored to join the West Falmouth Library in their dedication celebration of their new two story addition and renovation on Thursday, July 06, 2017. The $2.9 Million dollar project added new reading rooms, collections space, an archives room and activity spaces. A new handicapped accessible walkway, elevator, entry vestibule, restrooms and a common stairway were also constructed. A new community terrace and deck were created to connect with the existing garden space and many sustainable and green building features were incorporated into the design. The original circa 1896 building was fully restored including the original interior and exterior historic paint colors. The project obtained local CPC funds in the amount of $239,870, $250,000 from the Massachusetts Cultural Facilities Fund, as well as over 500 donations ranging from $25 to $250,000. Rick Fenuccio was the Project Architect, assisted by Maria Raber as Project Manager/ Designer, Paula Drury as Interior Designer and Stephen Williams as CAD Technician. Dennis).
The West Falmouth Library is an independent, nonprofit library that serves as a gathering place for the community. It offers educational, informational, and entertaining programs and services for all ages in its mission to support lifelong learning.
